Job Description
Experienced Puppy & Gun Dog Handler Wanted Join a Professional Upland Hunting Dog Kennel We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and hardworking Puppy & Dog Handler to become an important part of our growing upland hunting dog kennel. This is a hands-on position for someone who is passionate about raising, developing, and caring for exceptional dogs while assisting with the day-to-day operations of the kennel and farm. Primary Responsibilities Daily care, handling, and socialization of puppies and adult dogs Implement age-appropriate puppy development and early training programs Assist in training and conditioning young dogs, with emphasis on upland gun dogs Monitor dogs for health, behavior, and overall well-being Administer medications and provide routine veterinary care as directed Recognize signs of illness or injury and maintain accurate health records Assist with whelping, neonatal puppy care, and breeding program support Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kennel environment Assist with general farm duties, including facility maintenance, equipment operation, feeding, and other daily tasks as needed Qualifications Previous professional experience working with puppies and dogs is required Experience training puppies from an early age is required Gun dog and upland hunting dog training experience is strongly preferred Working knowledge of basic veterinary care, medication administration, and canine health management Experience assisting with whelping and neonatal puppy care is highly desirable Comfortable performing physical work in all weather conditions Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Clean criminal record (background check is required) We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to work with high-quality upland hunting dogs Long-term position with room for growth Professional and respectful working environment If you have the experience, work ethic, and passion for developing exceptional hunting dogs, we would like to hear from you.
