PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE INQUIRING
• Interquest Detection Canines is looking for a dedicated and responsible self-starter to handle a trained contraband detection canine in schools in the West Texas area. The position covers a lot of territory with areas surrounding San Angelo to as far south as the hill country, west to Monahans and north to Lubbock. MUST currently live in or near service area. NO experience handling dogs is required, we will train you! •Please read entire description before inquiring to ensure it sounds like a good fit.•This is a seasonal position that runs a school year schedule, typical school hours, approximately mid August-May outside of school holidays. The off months are unpaid. Ability to commit to the entirety of the school year is very important. Occasional nights and weekends may be required for special events. This position requires LOTS of driving. A vehicle will be provided. You must be able to keep a friendly large breed dog at home, crated indoors and cared for as directed. All equipment is provided. Must be able to work well independently, have good communication skills, able to work both indoors and outdoors in both heat and cold with the ability to be on your feet all day when needed. Ability to submit electronic reports. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Pay is $200/day.
