At Bliss Pet Resort, we strive to provide a fun and positive work environment. We are looking for someone with a good work ethic, positive attitude, and lots of patience! While previous dog daycare experience is preferred, it is not required! We'll train every employee in dog behavior, positive reinforcement, and obedience training. The chosen candidate will be working in our daycare groups, providing 2-3 hours of play for the dogs in the morning and afternoon. If you love working with dogs, this is the right position for you. In addition to doggy daycare, we offer boarding and bathing services. We strive to keep a clean environment for our animals, so there is a lot of cleaning of dog mess, it can get nasty at times . This is also a lot of being outside in the hot, cold and rain sometimes. We do have covers to help protect from the elements. We are an inclusive and supportive employer!

Monday-Saturday 6:45a-12:30p or 1:30-6:30p. Sunday 6:45am-12:30 am or 1:30-6:30pm About us: Bliss Pet Resort is a well established pet resort in the heart of Prosper. We offer doggy daycare, boarding, bathing services, and swimming for the dogs when the weather is nice! We are looking for someone who loves working with animals and has excellent customer service skills! We are looking for someone to work part time who has flexible availability. Must be willing to work holidays and weekends, this is when we are the most busy! Shifts are between 4-6 hours, but you may be asked to work both shifts (with a one hour lunch break!).

Daily tasks include:

Providing engagement and supervision in daycare for 2-3 hours a shift (groups vary between 15 and 25 dogs! We group them by size and age) Outside and all breeds. Providing care for cats, feeding, changing of litter and kitty cuddles. Daily care of boarding dogs, including feeding, potty breaks, and cleaning Maintaining cleanliness in facility and play yards Minimizing stress in our dogs by being responsive to their needs Working as a positive team member in a fast paced environment by using effective communication Work closely with management to report any possible injuries or illness We offer lots of opportunities for growth and advancement. We love to promote internally. We also provide training for front desk or bathing if interested!

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk up to 1 mile daily, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb Work with dogs up to 150 pounds all breeds. Engage in play activities with pets including: fetch, exercise walks, chase, agility, follow the leader, recall, and basic obedience games
