Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will ensure that all pets receive proper attention, exercise, and medical care as needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong background in animal handling and care.

About Us:
We are a busy rescue group that cares for 100+ dogs at any given time. Our mission is to provide exceptional care for rescued dogs while they await their forever homes. We're looking for passionate, hardworking individuals to join our team as Kennel Techs.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide daily care for the dogs, including feeding, cleaning kennels, and ensuring fresh water at all times. Monitor the health and well-being of the dogs, reporting any changes in behavior, appetite, or appearance to the appropriate staff. Assist with administering medications as needed. Perform general cleaning and sanitation of the kennel area to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Ensure all dogs receive proper socialization, enrichment, and exercise during shifts. Assist with intake and processing of new dogs, including bathing and setting up their living spaces. Follow all safety protocols for handling dogs with various temperaments. Work closely with the rescue team to support special needs dogs or those requiring extra attention.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in animal care (preferred but not required). Must love dogs and be comfortable working with all sizes and breeds. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally fill in during other shifts.
Shift Information:
Part-time, 4-5 hour shifts. Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts as required. Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of rescue dogs.
