Overview Join our vibrant team as a Midday Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, where your passion for animals and energetic spirit will shine! In this dynamic role, you'll provide essential care and companionship to pets during midday hours, ensuring they receive exercise, attention, and comfort while their owners are busy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on pets' lives while enjoying flexible hours and a supportive environment. Whether you're experienced in dog training, animal handling, or veterinary care, your skills will help create happy, healthy pets every day. Duties Take dogs on engaging walks that promote exercise and mental stimulation, adhering to each pet's specific needs and behavior cues Provide pet sitting services in clients' homes, including feeding, administering medication, and overnight care when required Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming, vet visits or training sessions Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' activities, behaviors, and any concerns observed during visits Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing to keep animals comfortable and well-maintained Support veterinary-related activities by understanding animal health signals and assisting with basic animal care procedures Perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor Qualifications Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred; certifications in dog training or veterinary assistance are a plus Knowledge of animal behavior, restraint techniques, and pet exercise routines Ability to lift heavy loads such as bags of pet food or equipment safely and efficiently Strong communication skills for client updates and instructions Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician background is advantageous Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions and handling multiple animals at once Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and dedication to their well-being Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels happy pets and satisfied clients! $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
