Job Summary Looking for a young at heart, dog lover who enjoys helping people. Fun, part-time, positive reinforcement dog training position. Some professional experience with dogs preferred. Two to six hours per week. Daytime, evening and weekend positions available. Responsibilities Conduct obedience training sessions for dogs of all ages and temperaments using positive reinforcement strategies. Assist clients with pet behavioral modification plans tailored to individual needs. Handle animals safely during training and activities, ensuring proper animal restraint and handling techniques. Educate pet owners on pet care, animal behavior, and positive behavior support strategies to promote ongoing training success. Maintain a clean, safe environment within training areas. Communicate effectively with clients about their pet's progress and provide guidance on at-home training practices. Requirements Professional working experience with dogs preferred. Knowledge of classroom positive reinforcement techniques and pet behavioral modification methods. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal restraint or equipment setup. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners. A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to promoting positive behavior support strategies.
