We are hiring a Lead Canine Companion to help oversee daily dog care operations, guide team members, and ensure every guest receives attentive, compassionate care. Responsibilities

• Lead daily dog care activities, including playgroups, private play, feedings, let-outs, enrichment, and temperament testing.
• Monitor guest safety and wellness through daily health checks, safe handling, and early behavior intervention.
• Guide and support Canine Companion team members during shifts, including assigning tasks and modeling resort standards.
• Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and providing feedback to care team members.
• Maintain accurate care notes, kennel cards, feeding records, medication logs, and shift-change communication.
• Administer routine and time-sensitive medications according to written instructions.
• Keep suites, play yards, and common areas clean, sanitized, organized, and safe.
• Provide excellent customer service by supporting check-in/check-out, verifying guest instructions, and sharing pet updates as needed.
• Escalate health, behavior, maintenance, staffing, or service concerns to management promptly.
• Support emergency procedures and help maintain a calm, safe environment during busy or unexpected situations. Qualifications
• Genuine love, understanding, and compassion for dogs.
• Previous experience in dog boarding, daycare, kennel, veterinary, grooming, or professional animal care required.
• Comfortable reading dog body language and using safe handling practices.
• Ability to recognize signs of stress, illness, injury, or escalating behavior.
• Reliable, mature, dependable, and able to take responsibility for guest safety and care.
• Strong communication skills with teammates, managers, and pet parents.
• Comfortable coaching teammates and setting a positive example.
• Pet First Aid and CPR training is a plus.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. What We Offer
