Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in cosmetology theory and practical techniques Teach students core skills including hair cutting, coloring, skincare, nail care, and chemical services Evaluate and assess student progress through written and practical examinations Maintain accurate student attendance, performance records, and progress reports Ensure a safe, clean, and professional learning environment in compliance with state board standards Mentor and motivate students to prepare for the California State Board licensing exam Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge
Requirements:
Active California Cosmetology License 3 years minimum (Required) Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience preferred Strong knowledge of cosmetology theory, techniques, and state board regulations Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills Passionate, patient, and student-focused with a professional demeanor Ability to work a consistent schedule and meet curriculum requirements
