Sunday-Saturday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM About the Position 234 Braiding Lounge is growing our team and looking for an experienced, reliable Hair Braider who is ready to work in a professional salon environment, serve new and existing clients, and grow with our company. This position is ideal for a braider who wants the structure and support of an established salon without having to build their business completely on their own. We provide a professional salon environment, booking support, marketing, walk-in opportunities, braiding hair for applicable services, and opportunities for continued growth. What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate: Has professional braiding experience Can complete knotless braids independently from start to finish Is comfortable performing multiple braid styles and sizes Produces neat, consistent parts and clean finished work Can work efficiently while maintaining quality Has reliable transportation Can commit to a consistent weekly work schedule Has dependable weekend availability Is willing to accept salon-assigned appointments and walk-ins Reports to scheduled shifts even when there is not a pre-booked personal appointment Is punctual, professional and dependable Provides excellent customer service Helps maintain a clean and organized salon Is comfortable working as part of a team Is willing to participate in salon photos, videos and marketing content Wants a long-term opportunity to grow within a salon Availability We're Prioritizing We are especially interested in candidates who can provide consistent coverage during: Saturday-Monday 9:00 AM opening and 6:00 PM closing shifts Weekend availability is required for this position. Your availability should be consistent and accurately reflect the hours you are able to commit to on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities Perform professional braiding services Complete client consultations before services Prepare hair and workstations for appointments Maintain salon service and sanitation standards Accept appointments assigned through the salon Service scheduled clients and walk-in clients Assist teammates when appropriate Maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift Take quality photos/videos of completed work ( Mandatory ) Encourage clients to rebook Support the salon's review and client-retention goals Participate in ongoing education, training, team meetings and content creation Experience Professional braiding experience required. Applicants should be confident performing medium, large knotless braids and feed-in braids independently. Experience with additional styles such as small/smedium knotless, boho braids, feed-in braids, twists, Fulani styles and children's braids is a plus. A portfolio of recent work will be required. Compensation W-2 employee position. Starting at 14/hr and eligible for commision. Competitive compensation based on experience, skill level and position within our braider career levels. Additional earning opportunities may include tips, retail commission, performance incentives and advancement opportunities.
