We are looking for a friendly, patient, dependable, and experienced hairstylist who enjoys working with children and families. Our salon is a fun, fast-paced environment, so we need someone who can provide quality haircuts while helping children feel comfortable and confident in the salon chair. Responsibilities Provide boys' and girls' haircuts for children of all ages Be comfortable working with toddlers and children who may be nervous, scared, or have difficulty sitting still Listen carefully to parents and understand the haircut or style they are requesting Provide efficient, quality haircuts while maintaining a positive experience for the child Perform basic styling, braids, ponytails, buns, and other children's hairstyles when needed Keep your station, tools, chairs, and surrounding areas clean and sanitized Follow all salon sanitation and safety procedures Greet families warmly and provide excellent customer service Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon Work well with other stylists and team members Stay on schedule and be able to work efficiently during busy periods Be dependable, punctual, and ready to work for all scheduled shifts Qualifications Valid cosmetology license Haircutting experience preferred Comfortable performing both clipper cuts and scissor cuts Experience working with children is a plus Patient, upbeat, friendly, and professional personality Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable and punctual Able to work in a busy, fast-paced salon environment Available for weekends and other high-demand times as scheduled
