About the Role The Cosmetologist is responsible for providing professional salon and beauty services to resort guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. The Cosmetologist may provide hair, styling, makeup, and other cosmetology services within the scope of their Missouri license and the services offered by the resort. This position creates a welcoming and relaxing experience while recommending appropriate services and products based on each guest's needs. The Cosmetologist works closely with the Spa, Front Desk, Guest Services, and other hotel TEAM members to provide a seamless and exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Provide professional cosmetology and salon services in accordance with guest needs and resort standards. Consult with guests to understand their preferences and recommend appropriate services. Perform hair styling, cutting, coloring, treatments, and other services within the scope of licensure and resort offerings. Provide makeup or other beauty services as applicable. Maintain a professional, welcoming, and relaxing environment for guests. Follow all applicable Missouri cosmetology regulations, health, safety, and sanitation standards. Properly sanitize and maintain tools, equipment, and workstations. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service area. Recommend professional beauty and salon products when appropriate. Maintain accurate service and product records as required. Communicate guest requests, concerns, and special needs to management. Provide professional and personalized guest service throughout each appointment. Assist with maintaining inventory of salon products and supplies. Report equipment, supply, or maintenance concerns to management. Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards. Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality. Work cooperatively with Spa, Front Desk, and other resort TEAM members. Assist with special events, weddings, and resort activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Current Missouri Cosmetology License required. Previous salon, spa, resort, hotel, or cosmetology experience preferred. Strong knowledge of cosmetology services, products, and sanitation practices. Excellent customer-service and communication skills. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong attention to detail and creativity. Ability to recommend services and products professionally. Ability to work independently and as part of a TEAM. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Professional appearance and demeanor. Basic computer/POS skills preferred. Basic English communication skills required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and special events. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to use hands and arms for salon services throughout the shift. Ability to bend, reach, and move as needed. Ability to safely handle salon tools, equipment, and products. Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
