Job Summary Evergreen Salon is looking for self-motivated and highly driven commission Hair stylist who values the full salon experience over just providing the end result. What we're looking for A stylist with previous salon experience Strong communication skills and the ability to guide clients through realistic expectations Someone who enjoys educating clients, and prioritizes quality of the work being performed. Willingness to continue learning and growing behind the chair Responsibilities Deliver a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling with precision and artistry. Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment in compliance with NC state board sanitation standards. Use salon software to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail transactions efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by understanding client preferences, offering professional recommendations, and upselling retail products. Communicate clearly with clients about service options, aftercare instructions, and product recommendations to ensure satisfaction. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointment bookings, and supporting store management tasks when needed. Stay current on industry trends in hair coloring, styling techniques, and new beauty treatments to continually enhance your skills. Requirements Valid NC cosmetology license with experience working in the beauty industry. Strong knowledge of hair care products, color theory, and application techniques Experience performing hair coloring, haircutting and styling Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration. Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with salon regulations. Skills in retail sales and upselling to promote product sales that complement services provided. Flexibility & schedule Stylists have control over their own schedule, including the days and hours they work as well as time off. The expectation is that you manage your schedule in a way that supports both your clients and your own work-life balance. The environment Evergreen is a boutique salon with a relaxed, spa-like feel.
