In This Role You Will:
Assesses hair and scalp to determine the best course of service for the resident or customer. Applies dye or tine to hair. Tests products by applying solutions to portion of customer's skin to determine if there is an allergic reaction to the solution. Cleans hair and scalp with water and shampoo and thoroughly rinses hair. Massages scalp and give other hair and scalp-conditioning treatments for hygienic or remedial purposes. Styles hair by cutting, trimming, and tapering, blow drying and/or using curling irons and other styling tools. Applies products or solutions to hair and to achieve desired style. Performs other beauty services such as removing unwanted hair. Cleans, shapes, and polishes fingernails upon request. Completes all required cleaning and sanitation practices daily and in accordance with community policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. Calculates and records all charges for services provided in an accurate and timely manner.
Shift Details:
Part-time two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday), flexible hours between 9a-6p. On-call bonus, $100/per day (minimum of 5 hours)
Who You Are:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and graduate of cosmetology school with a current state license. Managing cosmetology license within the state and prior experience in a senior living setting Experience with a wide range of hair textures and length (straight, wavy, curly, coily, long, short, pixie cut, etc.. ), preferred.
