Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic part-time, evening Cosmetology Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring beauty professionals. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training across a wide range of cosmetology disciplines, including skincare, hair styling, makeup application, nail care, and aesthetic treatments. Your expertise will empower students to develop their skills confidently and prepare them for successful careers in the beauty industry. Duties Deliver engaging lessons on cosmetology topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, facial treatments, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and dermabrasion. Supervise and mentor students during practical sessions, ensuring safety and skill development. Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and industry best practices. Provide hands-on training in advanced techniques like laser treatments, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and aesthetic procedures. Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into teaching modules to keep content fresh and relevant. Qualifications Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in skincare, massage therapy, barbering, or related fields. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to cosmetology practices. Demonstrated ability to teach or mentor students effectively in adult education settings. Proficiency in classroom management and lesson planning for diverse learner groups. Hands-on experience with salon services such as facials, makeup application, nail care, eyelash extensions, and body waxing. Familiarity with advanced aesthetic treatments including laser procedures and dermabrasion. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students toward their professional goals. Must pass a BCI/FBI background check (upon hire). Must have a cosmetology teaching license.
