As a Junior Cosmetologist at Willow Creek Salon, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our clients' confidence through exceptional hair, nail, and skincare services as well as by assisting our owners. You will be responsible for offering skilled services as training is completed, assisting a master hair stylist, offering short breaks to our desk staff, maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace, and providing our clients a welcoming atmosphere. This can be accessed by visiting: https://www.willowcreeksalon.com/employment Responsibilities Provide a range of beauty services which may include: haircuts, coloring services, smoothing treatments, perms, pedicures, gel manicures, facial waxing, facials, and more. Apply makeup as needed to enhance clients' overall appearance. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with State Board regulations. Assist Willow Creek owners and master stylists. Stay updated on current trends in hair styling, color theory, and techniques to provide clients with the latest styles. Qualifications Valid cosmetology license or worker's permit with State Board testing date. Willingness to bring in at least one model per week until introductory training is complete. Must have at least a small base of clientele. Interest in both hair and pedicures. Ideally also interested in offering skincare. Skills Proficient at basic cosmetology techniques and services. Strong understanding of color theory and application techniques. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members. Expanding into spa services is available to those interested and skilled. Strong work ethic. Familiarity with makeup application techniques is a plus. Pay Structure While building your clientele you will receive an hourly guarantee. You are able to earn commission right away! Position is for a W2 employee. There is no cap on your income. As you schedule fills, we will be able to raise your prices. As your service total grows, your commission percentage will rise over time. Tips are added into your check, per federal regulations. Retail sale commission bonuses are available on a bi-weekly basis. Retirement match contributions are available once you've been employed at Willow Creek for two years.
