Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber or Lady Barber/Stylyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of barbering techniques and trends, with the ability to provide exceptional grooming services to our diverse clientele. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality services in a friendly and professional environment. Responsibilities Perform a variety of hair cutting, styling, and grooming services for clients, including traditional barbering techniques. Stay updated on current trends in hair styling and color theory to provide clients with modern looks. Assist clients with product recommendations and retail sales to enhance their grooming experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling, client records, and inventory management. Mentor junior barbers or apprentices, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their development. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction with services provided. Offer additional services such as hair threading or eyelash extensions as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in barbering with a valid barber/cosmetologist license. Strong skills in hair styling, cutting, and coloring techniques. Familiarity with salon software for managing appointments and client information. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members. Ability to mentor others and share expertise in barbering practices. Knowledge of retail math to assist in product sales effectively. Experience in providing additional services such as hair threading or eyelash extensions is a plus.
