Duties Deliver engaging classroom instruction on a wide range of cosmetology topics including skincare, hair coloring, nail care, makeup application, and esthetic laser treatments Supervise students during practical sessions to ensure safety and proper technique in areas such as body waxing, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, and dermabrasion Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with industry standards and curriculum requirements to facilitate effective learning experiences Mentor students by providing constructive feedback, supporting their skill development, and fostering confidence in their abilities Oversee student performance during salon practice and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments in compliance with accreditation standards Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, facial treatments, and aesthetic procedures into teaching modules Skills Extensive knowledge of cosmetology disciplines including skincare, massage therapy, hair styling, barbering, and nail care Proven experience working within the beauty industry with hands-on expertise in salon environments Strong classroom management skills with experience in adult education and lesson planning Ability to mentor students effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques such as hair threading, body waxing, facial treatments, and makeup application Knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology practices to ensure safe procedures Familiarity with advanced aesthetic treatments like laser therapy and dermabrasion is a plus Competence in supervising student activities during practical sessions while maintaining high safety standards Embark on a rewarding career where your artistry meets education!
