The Lacquer Studio is a small business located in Stafford, TX . We are a professional and innovative salon dedicated to staying current with the latest hair and nail trends while delivering exceptional service to our clients. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Loctician to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the care, maintenance, and styling of locs, while providing high-quality service and a positive experience for our diverse clientele. You should have a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining professionalism and up-to-date knowledge of loc techniques and trends. This is a commission-based position , offering the opportunity to grow your income based on your performance, clientele, and service excellence.

Responsibilities:

Consultation:

Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hair history, desired loc style, and provide expert advice on loc care and maintenance.

Loc Creation & Installation:

Perform various methods of loc creation, including but not limited to, comb coils, two-strand twists, braids, and interlocking, ensuring proper technique and client comfort.

Loc Maintenance & Retwists:

Execute precise loc retwists, palm rolling, interlocking, and other maintenance techniques to ensure locs are neat, healthy, and growing correctly.

Loc Styling:

Offer a range of creative loc styling options, including updos, braids, barrel rolls, and custom designs, tailored to individual client preferences.

Loc Repair & Reconstruction:

Address and repair damaged or thinning locs, reattaching locs, and performing other restorative services as needed.

Product Knowledge:

Recommend and educate clients on appropriate loc care products (shampoos, conditioners, oils, etc.) to promote healthy loc growth and maintenance.

Client Education:

Provide detailed aftercare instructions and ongoing advice to clients on how to maintain their locs between salon visits.

Sanitation & Hygiene:

Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, tools, and equipment in accordance with salon and state board regulations.

Customer Service:

Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for all clients.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on the latest loc techniques, trends, and product innovations through workshops, training, and industry publications.

Pay:

Up to $25.00 per hour
