[Full-time / Part-time] • [ Hourly + tips] Role Summary We're looking for a Salon Assistant to deliver waxing, threading, facial, and hair treatment services while supporting the flow of a busy salon floor. This role suits someone who is precise with their hands, warm with clients, and genuinely enjoys the pace of back-to-back appointments. Core Service Responsibilities Hair removal Perform full-body and facial waxing (brow, lip, chin, underarm, arm, leg, bikini/Brazilian if certified) Perform eyebrow, upper lip, and full-face threading with clean, symmetrical shaping Conduct patch tests and screen for contraindications (Accutane, retinoids, recent peels, sunburn) Maintain correct wax temperature and strict no-double-dip sanitation Facials & skin Deliver express and signature facials: cleanse, exfoliate, steam, extractions, mask, massage, finish Perform skin analysis and recommend appropriate treatment and homecare products Hair services Apply deep conditioning, keratin, protein, and scalp treatments per manufacturer protocol Shampoo, condition, and prep clients; assist stylists with color application and rinsing as needed Support & Salon Floor Duties Greet and settle clients, manage draping, towels, and room turnover between appointments Sanitize implements, launder linens, restock stations, and maintain treatment room readiness Support booking, rebooking, and retail product recommendations at checkout Requirements Valid state esthetician or cosmetology license hands-on experience in a salon or spa setting ( graduates with strong practical skills considered) Demonstrated threading proficiency — a live practical assessment is part of our interview Working knowledge of skin types, common conditions, and product ingredients Ability to stand for extended periods and work weekends and evenings Professional presentation and reliable attendance Nice to Have Additional certifications: dermaplaning, chemical peels, lash/brow tinting, microdermabrasion Experience with any booking software Bilingual What We Offer [Hourly rate] plus commission on services and retail Tips paid out [daily/weekly] Paid product and technique training Employee discount on services and retail [Health benefits / flexible scheduling]
