Experience Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of diverse hair services. Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, including balayage, highlights, and creative color applications rooted in color theory. Skilled in hair styling for various occasions—from everyday looks to special events—using current trends and techniques. Familiarity with salon management tools like MINDBODY or similar salon software for appointment booking and client communication. Experience with retail sales, retail math calculations, and product recommendations to maximize client satisfaction and store revenue. Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering is required; additional skills in makeup application and hair threading are a plus.
