Job Summary Artist and Muse Salon is looking for a talented hairstylist who is looking to build a great clientele in the beautiful neighborhood of West Seattle! We provide a clean, beautiful, professional, drama free space, with a full time receptionist. Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and lifestyle needs, offering professional recommendations on styles, colors, and treatments Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, highlighting and more. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, stations, and equipment in accordance with health regulations Apply advanced techniques such as balayage, foil highlighting, and color theory principles to achieve customized results. Upsell retail products including hair care lines and styling tools to support clients' ongoing beauty routines while meeting sales goals. Skills Valid cosmetology license with specialization in hairstyling and barbering techniques including the use of straight razors Proficiency in salon software such as Vagaro for appointment scheduling and client management Extensive knowledge of hair care products, coloring techniques, hair extensions, and current styling trends Strong communication skills for engaging with clients effectively and understanding their needs Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on customer service excellence and retail sales strategies Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff Familiarity with retail for upselling products confidently while maintaining professionalism.
