Hairstylist Apprentice / Salon Assistant I'm looking for a licensed cosmetologist to join me part-time at Moonvayda Salon in Waterside. You'll assist during client appointments while receiving hands-on training to build your skills behind the chair. I specialize in French balayage, French cutting, color, and extensions, and I'm a Sunlights Balayage trainer. Moonvayda is a Davines Partner Salon, so you'll learn the Davines color and product lines as you work alongside me. What the role involves You'll shampoo, tone, formulate, blow-dry, and style under my guidance. You'll also prepare stations, check out clients, keep the salon clean, and wash and fold towels and capes. During appointments, you'll shadow my work and learn how I make decisions about formulation and technique. You'll practice on mannequin heads and move on to supervised model appointments as your skills grow. When you're ready to take clients, you'll begin with blowouts, glosses, and root color. Balayage and more complex color services will follow as you demonstrate the skills to perform them independently. I expect the training period to take approximately 6-9 months, into a junior or part-time commission stylist role. Progression will be based on your skills and readiness.

Pay and schedule:

$15 per hour plus tips; approximately 12-18 hours a week across 2-3 days. Scheduling is Monday through Friday, with up to two Saturdays per month.

Requirements:

Cosmetology school graduation, a current Florida cosmetology license, and a high school diploma or GED. I'm looking for someone who takes direction well, pays attention to detail, and wants to keep improving their craft.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 18.0 per week
