Spa Attendant
Job Description
The Role As our Spa Attendant, you're the reason every guest walks into a room that feels brand new. You'll own room turnovers, laundry, and daily cleaning, and you'll help maintain the water quality in our float and contrast therapy systems. You'll also be cross-trained on the front desk so you can greet guests, check them in, and keep things flowing when the lobby gets busy. What You'll Do Room Turnovers Turn over float rooms, contrast therapy rooms, and treatment rooms between sessions, quickly and to a consistent standard, typically within a tight window between bookings Wipe down float pods, showers, benches, and surfaces; remove salt residue; restock towels, earplugs, amenities, and toiletries Reset each room's lighting, music, and temperature so it's ready for the next guest Inspect every room before it's released and flag anything broken, worn, or out of place Cleaning & Facility Care Complete daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning checklists for guest rooms, restrooms, lobby, locker areas, and staff spaces Keep showers, floors, and drains clean and free of salt buildup and mildew Maintain supply inventory and let management know when stock runs low Take out trash and recycling and keep back-of-house areas organized Laundry Wash, dry, fold, and stock towels, robes, and linens throughout the day Keep laundry moving so clean linens are always available during peak hours Report damaged or stained items for replacement Water Sanitation & Equipment Test and log float pod water chemistry (sanitizer levels, pH, specific gravity, temperature) on a set schedule Perform filtration cycles, skim and top off solution, and add Epsom salt or sanitizer as directed Maintain cold plunge water quality and cleanliness, and help keep saunas clean and in working order Follow all sanitation protocols and health code requirements, and report any equipment issues promptly Front Desk (Cross-Trained) Greet and check in guests; give first-time floaters and contrast therapy guests a warm, clear orientation Answer phones, messages, and questions about services, packages, and memberships Process bookings, rebookings, and payments in our POS/booking system Encourage guests to book their next visit and share package options before they leave What We're Looking For Previous experience in housekeeping, spa, hotel, gym, restaurant, or other fast-paced hospitality work (a plus, not a must) A sharp eye for detail and genuine pride in leaving a space better than you found it Ability to work quickly and stay organized on a tight turnover schedule Comfortable following checklists and logs precisely, especially for water testing Friendly, calm, and professional with guests Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Basic computer/tablet skills; POS experience is a bonus Pool operator or water chemistry certification is a plus (we'll train the right person) Physical Requirements Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (salt bags, laundry loads) Comfortable working in warm, humid environments and handling cleaning and sanitation chemicals safely with proper
