Puppy Kennel Attendant Do you love dogs and find fulfillment in providing exceptional care to animals? Are you dependable, hardworking, and willing to roll up your sleeves when needed? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you. At Lucky Puppies of Idaho, caring for puppies is both rewarding and demanding. This position involves much more than cuddling puppies, it requires cleaning, feeding, bathing, monitoring health, administering care, maintaining records, and ensuring every puppy receives the attention and support they need to thrive. The right candidate will take pride in being part of a team that provides outstanding care while creating positive experiences for both puppies and teammates. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kennel environment Feed, bathe, groom, and care for puppies according to their individual needs Monitor puppy health, behavior, and activity levels and report concerns promptly Administer medications and treatments as directed Socialize puppies and provide enrichment activities to support their development Maintain accurate health and care records Assist with customer interactions and puppy placements if interested in cross-training Perform daily cleaning, laundry, disinfecting, and other kennel maintenance duties Requirements Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to excellent attendance Must be available to work both AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly Passion for animal welfare and a genuine love for dogs Previous animal care experience preferred but not required for the right candidate Ability to follow protocols and directions carefully Strong attention to detail and observation skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, cleaning, and carrying supplies throughout the day What Makes This Job Special Spend your days helping puppies grow, socialize, and prepare for their future homes Be part of a team that truly cares about animal welfare Build meaningful relationships with customers and their new puppies Experience the reward of knowing your work directly impacts the health and happiness of every puppy in our care

This is a physically active position that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Because we care for live animals, consistent attendance is essential. The puppies depend on us every day.
