Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cremation Technician (Contractor) to assist with pet pickups and cremation services. This is a flexible, per-case role ideal for someone who can work independently and take pride in meaningful work. Compensation $55 per case (pets under ~60 lbs) $85 per case (large dogs) Additional pay for after-hours pickups and extended travel Hourly range listed on Indeed is an estimate. Compensation is primarily per case. Responsibilities Pick up pets from veterinary clinics and residences Transport pets safely and respectfully Perform cremation services (training provided if needed) Ensure proper identification and tracking of each pet Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Return cremated remains for final processing Schedule Flexible, per-case basis No fixed schedule Work is assigned as cases arise Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Ability to lift 75+ lbs Strong attention to detail (critical for identification and tracking) Comfortable handling deceased pets Dependable, professional, and able to work independently Preferred (Not Required) Veterinary, kennel, or animal care experience Experience with cremation or similar hands-on work Important Note This role involves handling deceased pets and supporting a sensitive service.
