This position is ideal for an experienced massage therapist who enjoys teaching, mentoring students, and helping future professionals succeed in the field. Position Type Part-time or Full-time opportunities available Location Raleigh, North Carolina About the Role Instructors are responsible for delivering engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in our Massage Therapy program while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with professionalism, reliability, and a passion for education. Responsibilities Teach massage therapy courses in classroom, lab, and clinical settings Demonstrate massage techniques, body mechanics, and professional practices Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and student activities Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress Provide academic support and mentoring to students Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and required documentation Ensure compliance with institutional policies and state board requirements Promote professionalism, ethical conduct, and client-centered care Participate in faculty meetings, training, and curriculum development as needed Qualifications Current North Carolina Massage Therapy License in good standing Minimum of 3 years of professional massage therapy experience preferred Previous teaching or training experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations Proficiency with basic computer and instructional technology tools Preferred Experience Experience in spa, medical, chiropractic, or wellness settings Experience supervising student clinics Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply What We Offer Supportive academic environment Opportunity to mentor and shape future massage therapists Flexible scheduling options Professional development opportunities About Gwinnett College Gwinnett College is a career-focused institution committed to providing hands-on education that prepares students for success in healthcare, wellness, and professional careers.
