Team Effort:
Work as a team to solve problems and complete work to the highest standards, responsible for preparation of a decedent for final disposition and storage and disposition of cremated remains. Additionally, you will help with managing proper Mortuary supplies and casket stock; maintenance of Mortuary spaces, including preparation rooms and coolers; and accurate recordkeeping of work performed. Education
  • AS Mortuary Science
  • California Embalmer's License Experience
  • Must be a licensed embalmer in the state of California. Knowledge
  • California state laws and regulations:
  • CA Code of Regulations Title 16, Division 12. (Funeral Regulations)
  • CA Code of Regulations Title 16, Division 23. (Cemetery Regulations)
  • Business and Professions Code
  • Cemetery and Funeral Law
  • Mortuary procedures, rules, and general practice
  • Medical terminology
  • Familiarity with Microsoft software, including the latest versions of Windows, Word, Excel, and Teams. Familiarity with Oracle's NetSuite a plus. Skills & Abilities
  • Able to use all embalming instruments, machines, and body/casket lifts
  • Team player able to work well with different personalities
