Frary Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Licensed Funeral Director to join our team in Gouverneur, NY. Frary Funeral Home is a long-established, family-owned funeral home serving Northern New York with five locations. We are committed to providing compassionate, professional service to the families we serve while maintaining a supportive team environment for our employees. As a Funeral Director, you will work with families and our experienced funeral service team throughout the arrangement and service process. Responsibilities include meeting with families, directing and assisting with funeral services, embalming and preparation of human remains, removals, assisting families during visitations and services, and participating in a rotating on-call schedule for death calls and our answering service.

Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications You will also have opportunities to assist families with preplanning and funding funeral arrangements and, when appropriate, assist with monument sales.

What We're Looking For:

Current New York State Funeral Director License, or eligibility for New York State reciprocity At least 1 year of funeral service experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A compassionate, professional, and respectful approach when working with families Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and Google applications Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more Must have ability to retain flexible schedule due to the nature of the work
