Your dedication will help create meaningful farewell experiences that honor loved ones and bring comfort to grieving families. This location is in the Adamstown area, near Reading PA . Housing in the area is available if needed. Duties Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including planning, scheduling, and executing ceremonies that reflect families' wishes. Manage transportation of the deceased with sensitivity and adherence to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, offering guidance, and addressing their needs compassionately. Assist families with administrative tasks such as records management, documentation, and completing necessary legal paperwork. Embalming descendants, and conduct heavy lifting safely when preparing the deceased for viewing or burial, following proper procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety. Participate in on-call coverage to respond promptly to emergency or last-minute service requests at any time. Requirements Valid PA Funeral Director License Experience in funeral directing or mortuary services with strong organizational skills. Excellent client communication & ability to work compassionately with families. Knowledge of funeral & mortuary services procedures, including legal documentation and records management. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving large vehicles preferred. Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts for emergency response coverage.
