Duties Operate laundry machinery including industrial washers, dryers, and garment care machines to ensure thorough cleaning of textiles. Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, and preparing items for delivery or storage. Use proper sanitation techniques to maintain hygiene standards across all laundry processes. Manage laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety protocols and handling instructions. Transport heavy loads using push carts or other equipment, practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Perform routine inspection of textiles for stains or damages and determine appropriate cleaning methods such as dry cleaning or textile-specific washing. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces in compliance with safety standards in production environments. Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks, including heavy lifting and machinery operation, to ensure a safe workplace for yourself and colleagues. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and laundry services. Experience operating garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment. Ability to handle materials safely with manual handling skills and use push carts effectively for transporting heavy loads. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or adjusting machine settings. Understanding of safety standards in production environments including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or clients regarding laundry needs. Familiarity with textile cleaning processes including dry cleaning and stain removal techniques.
