Soil Sorter Job Summary The Soil Sorter is responsible for receiving, sorting, and preparing soiled linens from hotels and resorts for the washing process. This role ensures proper handling of linens, maintains quality standards, and supports efficient laundry operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Sort soiled linens (sheets, towels, pillowcases, table linens, etc.) by type, fabric, and soil level Identify and separate damaged or stained items for special treatment or discard Remove foreign objects (e.g., trash, personal items) from linens before washing Load sorted linens into designated bins or conveyor systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sorting area Follow safety procedures and proper handling techniques for soiled materials Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or irregularities to supervisors Meet productivity and quality standards set by the facility Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or industrial environment is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Reliable attendance and punctuality Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods
Pay:
$17.50 per hour Expected hours: 39.0 - 46.0 per week
