Job Objective/ Summary Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold and deliver linens and clothing. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, safe, organized and sanitary fashion at all times. Work area may include isolation areas. Essential Functions Carry linens, towels using wheeled carts. Efficiently collect soiled linens multiple times a day, sort, wash, dry, fold and deliver a variety of clothing and linens. Accurately complete all assignments within the scheduled time frame. Clean common area bathrooms on weekends. Keep storage areas well-stocked, clean and tidy. Replenish supplies, such as linens and towels in all required areas. Other Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrates the values of The Estates atCarpenters:
integrity, stewardship, compassion, community, excellence, dignity, and service. Attends and participates in orientation, training and educational activities as required. Dresses appropriately, following appropriate dress and uniform policies and guidelines. Must be able to maintain consistent attendance as per job requirements and policies. Other duties as assigned. Adhere to The Estates at Carpenters' policies and procedures, including those covering privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and codes of conduct. Maintain confidentiality and respects resident's privacy at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record.Requirements:
Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience Six months experience in nursing home or motel/hotel laundry environment is preferred. Must have the ability to read and understand English. Must possess a positive attitude, work well with fellow team members and have desire to serve and assist the elderly. Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
