Full Job Description Description:
Position Summary:
The Laundry Attendant will ensure guest satisfaction by performing duties that support the efficient operation of the Laundry and Housekeeping Department along with maintaining the appearance of the laundry area and equipment.
Essential Functions:
Report to work on time. Uniform and personal appearance is kept clean and professional. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Demonstrate commitment to providing a great experience for guests. Perform duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards. Attend briefings to learn how to effectively handle all foreseen situations. Provide a clean and sanitary environment for the guest. Turn in lost and found items immediately. Load, wash and care for linen as directed and in accordance to policies and procedures. Clean lint filters on dryers as directed. Clean and maintain laundry room. Clean public areas as assigned. Assist with stocking carts with necessary linens and supplies at the end of each day. Greet all guests and offer assistance when needed. Report maintenance deficiencies on work orders. Aid other employees as needed to maintain the successful operation of the department and the hotel. Adhere to timing standards. Comply with all safety and security policies. Report accidents pertaining to guests or personal injury, immediately. Attend scheduled meetings and necessary training sessions as requested. Understand emergency procedures for the entire hotel. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, with efficiency and under time constraints. Must be able to lift, push and pull 25 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working in guest rooms. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). Follow directions thoroughly and work with minimal supervision.
