Job Description
The Laundry Valet/Cashier Attendant provides friendly and efficient service to guests and employees by assisting with laundry and dry-cleaning needs at the Hotel Laundry. This position is responsible for receiving and returning laundry items, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Greet guests and employees in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner. Receive and process laundry and dry-cleaning items in accordance with department procedures. Accurately track and return completed laundry and dry-cleaning items to guests and employees. Process sales transactions and handle cash and other forms of payment accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest questions and requests. Collaborate with the Hotel Laundry team to support efficient daily operations. Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs. Previous customer service, cash-handling, or hospitality experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach when interacting with guests and team members. Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately. Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching. Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
