Description:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens, towels, table linen, and other laundry items are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential to providing guests with a fresh, clean, and comfortable experience, while supporting the overall efficiency of the housekeeping department. Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Load, sort, and process linens, towels, and guest laundry according to established procedures. Inspect laundry for stains, tears, and damage; treat stains as required. Fold, press, and organize laundered items neatly for distribution. Maintain accurate counts of clean and soiled linens. Deliver clean linens to designated storage or housekeeping areas. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry facility, equipment, and storage areas. Assist with inventory and report shortages or equipment malfunctions. Follow all hotel safety, security, and sanitation procedures. Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and co-workers Adhere to precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) for all chemicals as outlined on Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation. Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements :
Previous housekeeping or laundry experience in a hotel environment highly desired. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to follow job duties. Ability to work varied schedule as necessary including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs. Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions. Must be able to push up to 75 pounds, lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be able to visually inspect linens and terry.
