Responsibilities Operate commercial-grade laundry machines such as tunnel washers, conveyor dryers, stackable dryers, and barrier washers safely and efficiently. Perform fabric care procedures including dry cleaning, bleach washing, stain removal (baking soda, hot water, mechanical), and laundry washing to maintain garment quality. Label garments accurately and ensure proper sorting for different cleaning processes. Use laundry ironing and pressing machines to achieve crisp, professional finishes on linens and garments. Fold laundry using specialized folding machines or manual techniques to ensure an organized presentation. Maintain an organized workspace by tracking inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and garment tags; restock as needed. Operate laundry steam cleaning equipment for deep sanitation and stain removal while adhering to safety procedures. Assist with cashiering duties when necessary and provide excellent customer service to clients requesting laundry or dry cleaning services. Push carts efficiently throughout the facility for transporting linens and garments; ensure timely delivery to designated areas. Skills Proficiency in operating commercial laundry equipment including tunnel washers, dryers, pressing machines, and garment care machines. Knowledge of fabric care techniques such as stain removal (including mechanical stain removal), bleach washing, cold water stain removal, hot water stain removal, and baking soda stain removal. Ability to perform laundry folding with precision using folding machines or manual methods for a neat presentation. Experience with dry cleaning processes and laundering for hotel or hospitality environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of machine operation safety procedures to prevent accidents or equipment damage. Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory tracking systems and an orderly workspace. Customer service skills to assist clients courteously during drop-off or pick-up interactions.
