Job Description

Overview:
This position is responsible for ensuring that all Housekeeping and Food & Beverage linens are processed promptly, meeting Omni Hotels & Resorts' standards, while minimizing product waste to the greatest extent possible.
Responsibilities:
Sort dirty linens from the laundry chute for processing. Collect dirty linens from Food & Beverage outlets and banquets. Operate all washers, dryers, ironers, and towel folders. Stack clean items into laundry bins or trucks for delivery to guest room floors or Food & Beverage areas. Operate smaller washers/dryers to handle specialty items or guest special requests. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department at all times. Follow safety and sanitization regulations as outlined by OSHA and Omni Hotels & Resorts. Assist in operating the tunnel.
Qualifications:
Ability to stand at the workstation for up to 8 hours per shift. Environmental services experience preferred, preferably in hotel housekeeping. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds frequently throughout the shift. Comfortable bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching regularly. Ability to understand and follow directions in the primary language spoken in the work area. Ability to push and pull fully stocked housekeeping supply cart and housekeeping carts full of linens. Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations. Flexible schedule required, including availability on days, weekends, and holidays.
