Who you are:

Hospitality focused and team oriented

Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Must maintain resident confidentiality at all times.

Must have an understanding of general cleaning practices.

Must be able to complete required duties within time allowed.

Have the ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.

Have at least a 9th grade education.

Summary:

Under general direction from the Environmental Services Director, the Laundry Aide is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens.

Essential Job Duties:

Collects, cleans and redistributes the Community laundry.

Collect and transfer laundry to and from appropriate facility.

Separate and clean laundry according to care instructions.

Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.

Dry laundry according to care instructions.

Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed, and dried according to State and Federal regulations.

Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.

Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
