$14.00-$15.00 per hour Position Summary The Laundry Attendant I is responsible for providing clean, sanitized, and professionally finished linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel textiles to support daily operations and exceptional guest service. This position operates commercial laundry equipment, follows established safety and quality standards, and maintains a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Laundry Attendants play a vital role in ensuring guests and team members have access to high-quality linens and uniforms that reflect the standards of Little America Hotels & Resorts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate commercial washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and other laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures. Sort, wash, dry, press, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms and other laundry items. Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, tears, or damage and remove substandard items from service. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of linens, uniforms, detergents, chemicals, and other laundry supplies. Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs promptly to management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, equipment, and work areas. Follow all chemical handling procedures, safety guidelines, and infection prevention protocols. Ensure proper separation and handling of soiled and clean linens to maintain sanitation standards. Assist with distribution and collection of linens and uniforms as needed. Support housekeeping and other departments by fulfilling linen requests in a timely manner. Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting daily workload expectations. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and operational needs. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and cleaning products is preferred. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Weekend, holiday, and flexible scheduling availability is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to push and maneuver fully loaded linen carts. Ability to work in a warm, humid environment around commercial laundry equipment. Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely operate laundry equipment and inspect linens. Work Environment The Laundry Attendant works primarily in a commercial laundry facility with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, steam, cleaning chemicals, and operating machinery. The position requires adherence to all safety procedures and the consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
