Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on R&D Lab Technician to support our Research & Development team with laboratory batching, product development, testing, sample preparation, and scale-up activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing daily laboratory batches for personal care, beauty, cosmetic, skincare, or hair care products and is comfortable working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and wants to contribute to the development of products from concept through commercialization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare laboratory batches and prototypes according to formulation instructions. Accurately weigh, blend, and compound raw materials. Conduct routine laboratory testing and product evaluations. Record observations, test results, and formulation data accurately. Prepare customer samples and development batches. Support product stability studies and sample retention programs. Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Assist with pilot batches and manufacturing scale-up activities. Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and sample storage. Follow GMP, safety, and company procedures. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to support project timelines. Qualifications Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field preferred. 1-3 years of laboratory experience in personal care, beauty, cosmetics, skincare, hair care, OTC, or related manufacturing environment preferred. Hands-on experience preparing laboratory batches and following formulation instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately document laboratory work and test results. Basic understanding of GMP and laboratory safety practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed. Preferred Experience Personal care, beauty, cosmetic, skincare, or hair care product development experience. Contract manufacturing experience. Stability testing and product evaluation experience. Experience supporting pilot batches and scale-up activities. OTC product experience is a plus.
