KR8TIV Justice is seeking an experienced Hair & Makeup Artist for a one-day documentary shoot for Voices of the Vote, a youth journalism project featuring teen reporters conducting interviews with members of the public across Los Angeles. We are looking for someone to provide camera-ready hair and makeup for 5 people before filming, as well as light touch-ups throughout the shoot as needed. The shoot will take place at multiple outdoor locations throughout Los Angeles, including Downtown LA, Culver City, Westwood Village, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. We are looking for someone who is comfortable creating natural, polished, camera-ready looks and working with different hair textures and skin tones.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide hair and makeup for five people
• Create natural, camera-ready looks appropriate for documentary filming
• Work with a range of hair textures and skin tones
• Provide touch-ups throughout the shoot as needed
• Maintain looks while filming outdoors and moving between locations
• Bring your own professional hair and makeup kit and supplies Ideal candidate:
• Experience with hair and makeup for film, television, documentary, or digital productions
• Comfortable working with youth
• Experienced with diverse hair textures and skin tones
• Has their own professional kit and equipment
• Reliable, efficient, and collaborative

Rate:

$500 total for the day (5 people)
