Duties Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extensions, and nail art designs. Apply and customize nail enhancements using techniques like acrylic application and nail extensions. Conduct skin care treatments including dermabrasion, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and esthetic laser treatments. Follow salon safety protocols by maintaining strict sanitation standards, disinfecting tools, and adhering to disinfection procedures. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations for nail care and retail products. Upsell additional services or retail items to enhance client experience and salon revenue through retail sales knowledge. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with sanitation regulations. Stay current on industry trends such as color theory, hair styling techniques, hair extensions, barbering, hair threading, and other beauty treatments to offer comprehensive services. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology required. Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylics, and nail extensions. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with clients. Familiarity with color theory principles to create appealing nail art designs. Ability to perform advanced treatments such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser therapy is a plus. Demonstrated skills in retail math for upselling products effectively. Good physical stamina for standing long hours and performing detailed work efficiently. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and ensure client satisfaction.
