Responsibilities Perform a wide range of nail services including gel manicures, acrylic nail application, nail extensions, and pedicures with precision and care. Apply color theory principles to recommend and create custom nail designs that complement each client's style. Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools, equipment, and workstations. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide expert advice on nail care, and upsell retail products related to beauty and nail health. Stay current with industry trends such as eyelash extensions, dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, hair threading, body waxing, hair styling, and hair extensions to offer comprehensive beauty solutions. Ensure all services are delivered in a professional manner while fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Manage retail sales efficiently by applying retail math skills to promote products that support clients' ongoing beauty routines. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology or related fields. Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, acrylic nails, and nail extensions. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their needs. Familiarity with color theory concepts and the ability to create innovative nail designs. Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math for maximizing product recommendations. Ability to stay updated on industry trends such as eyelash extensions, laser treatments, hair styling techniques, and other advanced beauty services.
