Are you looking to help healthcare professionals of the future? Are you an actor or do you want to be an actor? Healthcare simulation center Simulated Participants(SP) perform the role of the patient or family members during health care simulations or clinical skills trainings for learners in the University of Utah's Healthcare education programs. SPs portray specific emotions, behaviors and disease symptoms while interacting with learners during simulated patient encounters. SPs aid in establishing and maintaining fidelity and realism to each simulation. SPs may participate in video productions, support voice-over for e-learning courses, photographs and other teaching material as required. This is an ongoing job opening and we hire intermittently from this job posting. Responsibilities Arrive on-time and fully prepared for all roles and shifts you accept Memorize a case script detailing specific emotions, behaviors, and disease signs/symptoms for presentation during simulated learning situations Present case information in a standardized manner, as elicited by students during simulated interactive patient history and/or medical examinations Remain in character as a specific patient Embody roles with fidelity and realism Participate in group training Maintain confidentiality of information related to cases, student behaviors and feedback evaluations Provide educationally constructive verbal feedback from the patient standpoint when prompted by the facilitator Ability to be flexible in different medical and educational settings Perform additional job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Preferences Preferred but

: Experience in medical or healthcare settings.
