PORT MADISON ENTERPRISES SUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORT
Spa- Manager General Position Summary:
Responsible for the successful operation of the spa facility in support of the hotel's operation as well as all other Port Madison Enterprises ventures. Hires, trains, and monitors the performance of professional spa personnel. Ensures that program goals are met and adheres to all applicable regulations regarding cleanliness, accessibility, and safety of the facility.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Creates, develops and implements an effective strategy of organization for the spa by coordinating with all levels of management to determine objectives for future growth and profitability Ensures adequate staffing levels by overseeing all aspects of performance management to include interviewing, training, and career development Ensures all guests receive Clearly Superior Customer Service Responsible for generating and managing the fiscal budget while maintaining a predetermined profit margin Interacts with guests on a daily basis and makes recommendations to the Hotel Director and PME Marketing Director on packages and promotions Conducts retail inventory, orders all supplies/retail products; maintains company guidelines in supply costs and retail prices Prepares monthly profit and loss reports for the Hotel Director including financial forecasts; monitors the spa budget and is responsible for the accuracy of all records and reports Represents the spa at all company functions, acting in a public relations capacity within the community Maintains effective communication amongst the spa personnel and across the organization while developing an atmosphere that encourages all employees to share ideas, discuss concerns and resolve conflicts Maintains a working knowledge of industry trends
Secondary Functions:

Specific Job Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience preferred Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational, and analytical skills and to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Ability to problem-solve, handle stressful situations and make good decisions Ability to function in a team-orientated environment and work independently Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Spa and/or Health Club Management from a four-year college or university, or four (4) years direct experience and/or training in a spa/health club operation or management of such a facility or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess current esthetician or beautician license. Must be computer literate (MS Office) and guest scheduling software. CPR Certification.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in a spa with equipment necessary to provide services as outlined in this job description. Other working conditions may include working with others, frequent interruptions, and working evenings and/or weekends. Working in a smoke-filled environment may be necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds while standing, twisting, or bending. Manual and finger dexterity is required to perform duties and may involve standing, sitting, bending, kneeling for extended periods of time and will include reaching with arms and hands. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to focus. Work may be done in an enclosed area with minimal lighting and innumerable scents (candles and oils).
