Expectation instructions and markings based on Customer specifications Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of EOROTO Flexible schedule flexible schedule, which includes , weekday mornings and evening hours , no weekends!!! Use Buckle provided sewing machine and supplies to perform alterations, onsite. Measure and mark alteration lines. Pin altering folds or mark on cloth at seam to indicate alterations in progress. Remove stitches from garment, using ripper or razor blade. Resew merchandise using needle and thread or sewing machine. Press merchandise, using a hand iron or steamer. Repair defective merchandise. Record all task and follow through on the alteration log. Record required alterations and instructions. Uphold specified productivity guidelines, generally four jean alterations per hour. Maintain a clean, organized and stocked work area and inform a shop manager when additional supplies are needed. Flexible with hours Open-minded for review on the amount of work that needs to be re-done. Communicate any policy violations to Shop Manager, District Manager, in a timely, confidential manner. Provide feedback to Shop Manager, any concerns. Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive contractor team spirit. Create custom garments including men's and women's wear through precise sewing, stitching, and garment construction techniques Perform clothing alterations and repairs with attention to detail, ensuring perfect fit and finish Operate pressing machines and press operation tools to achieve crisp seams and professional finishes Use hand sewing skills for delicate or intricate details that require meticulous craftsmanship Select appropriate fabric materials based on client specifications, garment type, and durability needs Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, offering expert advice on fabric choices and styles Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines Qualifications Proven experience in fashion retail, clothing alterations, garment sewing, or related fields Strong knowledge of fabric materials, stitching techniques, and garment construction processes Skilled in operating sewing machines, pressing machines, and hand sewing tools with precision Familiarity with men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring techniques Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric estimations Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about their needs and expectations Knowledge of garment pressing procedures using pressing machines for professional finishes Independent Contractor Qualifications &Skills Extensive experience in fashion retail environments with a focus on clothing alterations and garment sewing Proficiency in using sewing machines, hand sewing tools, pressing machines, and related equipment Strong knowledge of fabric materials, their properties, and appropriate handling techniques Join us as an Independent Contractor Tailor/Seamstress/Designer and turn your passion for fashion into a rewarding opportunity!
