Job Summary Hello, we have a lot of drapery work that needs a quality seamstress to seam the drapery. We are hoping you have a workroom setup but we do have a shop that could be setup for workroom work. Duties Measure clients accurately to determine necessary adjustments for drapery Sew, alter, and repair garments with precision, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal Use various sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques to execute detailed work Consult with clients or team members to understand specific tailoring needs or design requests Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly care for all sewing tools and equipment Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Assist with fabric selection, pattern cutting, and fitting sessions as needed Requirements Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor, with a strong portfolio of completed projects Familiarity with different fabrics, sewing techniques, and garment construction methods Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing tools effectively Excellent attention to detail and steady hand-eye coordination Strong communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration Experience working in various settings such as salons, spas, hotels, clinics, or private residences is preferred Knowledge of appointment scheduling, errand assistance, and personal transportation support is a plus Prior experience in office building environments or with elderly individuals enhances suitability for this role Let us know if you have experience doing work with drapery.
