Inside Essence Weddings, Schaumburg, IL About Us Alterations USA is expanding with a satellite location inside Essence Weddings, a wedding vendor firm in Schaumburg. This is our third location alongside our two stores in Gurnee and our flagship headquarters in Bloomingdale. Our Schaumburg shop handles fittings and alterations for a steady flow of bridal, formal, and everyday clients, some who walk in and some who schedule ahead through Calendly. What You'll Do Conduct fittings for walk-in and scheduled customers Manage your own appointment schedule using Calendly Perform quick, on-the-spot adjustments such as hemming, taking in a seam, or fixing a stray thread Take accurate measurements and pin garments for later alterations Keep the shop area tidy and organized between appointments Communicate clearly with customers about timelines and pricing What We're Looking For Comfortable using basic sewing tools and a sewing machine Some hand-sewing or alterations experience required Friendly, patient, and comfortable talking with customers Able to manage a calendar and stay on schedule Reliable and punctual Who This Is Great For This role suits someone with some sewing experience looking for a low-pressure, part-time role, whether that's an entry-level sewer building on existing skills, a retiree who's sewn for years and wants light part-time work, or anyone with a sewing background looking for steady, manageable hours. Some familiarity with a sewing machine and basic garment work is expected.
