Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Alterations Associate to join our fashion retail team. Responsibilities Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing to meet customer specifications Operate pressing machines and hand-sew garments with precision to ensure flawless finishes Use sewing machines for stitching, seam repair, and garment construction tasks Manage pressing operations to achieve crisp, professional results on finished pieces Provide exceptional customer service by consulting with clients on alteration options and timelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including pressing stations and sewing equipment Assist in the production of custom apparel by executing detailed sewing tasks according to specifications Verify measurements accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fit and quality control Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship Qualifications Prior experience in fashion retail or garment alterations is highly preferred Proficiency in garment sewing, hand sewing, and operating sewing machines Knowledge of pressing machines and press operation techniques Strong understanding of garment construction and stitching methods Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and sizing adjustments Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment If you are passionate about fashion, skilled in garment alteration techniques, and eager to contribute your craftsmanship to a vibrant team, we encourage you to apply.
