Job Summary We are seeking a very special person to join our team. Thistle Hill Weavers is a small weaving mill reproducing historic fabric and trims from the 17th thru the 20th century. We construct and install window treatments, and bed hangings in some of the most iconic historic homes in America. We are looking for a talented and experienced seamstress to help with sewing of historic window treatments and bed hangings for several historic sites. Previous experience in a costume shop or theater would be a plus. Hand and machine sewing skills of high quality and attention to details a must. Knowledge of historic techniques would be helpful but not essential. We are willing to train someone with good hand skills. This person would gain skills in cloth inspection and cloth finishing. Good organizational skills and personal communication skills are essential. Applicant will need to be organized and able to collaborate on projects as well as work independently. We are open to both a part time applicant, or a full time position based on the skills of the individual and the interest the other jobs within our mill.

Pay:

From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 35.0 per week
